The Service Advisor's responsibilities include greeting customers, listening to requests, scheduling appointments, estimating costs and following up with customers. The Service Advisor ensures customer service by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues and problems, determine their repair timeline and working with mechanical technicians and parts personnel.
To be as successful Service Advisor, you must have excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills. You should also have a strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Organizational, decision making and problems solving skills;
- Computer & phone skills;
- Experience in the automotive field is advantageous;
- The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers and management;
- Ability to learn product knowledge and follow processes and direction;
- Self-motivated, goal oriented and enthusiastic in a team environment;
- Valid driver's license required and clean driving record for a minimum of three years;
- Professional appearance and work ethic.
