Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing grooming services to a variety of pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being. If you have a love for animals and possess excellent grooming skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, haircuts, and nail trimming for various pets
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during the grooming process
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, and provide appropriate treatments or recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests and preferences
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions from pet owners
- Monitor pets for any signs of illness or injury and report any findings to the appropriate staff member
- Stay updated on current grooming techniques and trends in the industry
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related role is preferred
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques and behavior is required
- Familiarity with veterinary assistant or kennel work is a plus
- Ability to handle different types of animals, including equine, with care and compassion
- Strong understanding of animal care and grooming practices
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners effectively
- Proficient in animal restraint and dog handling techniques
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
