Dog Daycare Co-Manager

Toes & Tails, one of Ohio’s leading pet care providers has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, and business-minded individual to lead our daycares as a Site Co-Manager. Successful candidates in this role will have significant experience assisting or fully managing one or more daycares/boarding facilities in their background. Experience with training, accountability, and ensuring a great environment and experience for the dogs under your care is paramount.

Toes & Tails has facilities that have been operating for decades, including high-quality pet boarding, engaging dog daycare, pet concierge services, training classes, and full-service grooming.

Does This Sound Like You?

• Loves dogs and has a positive attitude!
• 1-2 years assistant or full management experience in the pet care industry
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management skills, and attention to detail
• Understand what is required of this role in terms of time, on-call, and high-pressure situations
• Professional and respectful example of leadership for the team
• Knowledge of the safety and sanitation standards and willingness to uphold and enforce them
• Ability to handle busy daily schedule and ensure completion of daily goals
• Ability to set expectations and hold staff members accountable

Duties:

• Assure superior dog care through procedural compliance (SAFETY, SANITATION, ENGAGEMENT)
• Interview and hire, accountability, and termination
• Manage training of new staff members
• Coach, motivate, and train employees
• Schedule and resolve scheduling challenges with co-manager
• Cover unfilled shifts as required
• Work regular desk and weekend shifts to ensure smooth operating environment
• Provide an excellent customer experience, and resolve issues in a positive, professional manner
• Utilize reports and metrics to monitor and manage staff schedules, associated labor costs, and additional operating expenditures
• Provide weekly reports to ownership regarding company and staff performance
• Manage and maintain supply levels
• Assist coordinating supplier schedules (pest control, landscaping, handyman, landlord)
• Transport or coordinate transport of dogs to/from vet in cases in emergency
• Standardize equipment, branding, procedures, and policies in accordance with franchising needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
