Toes & Tails, one of Ohio’s leading pet care providers has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, and business-minded individual to lead our daycares as a Site Co-Manager. Successful candidates in this role will have significant experience assisting or fully managing one or more daycares/boarding facilities in their background. Experience with training, accountability, and ensuring a great environment and experience for the dogs under your care is paramount.
Toes & Tails has facilities that have been operating for decades, including high-quality pet boarding, engaging dog daycare, pet concierge services, training classes, and full-service grooming.

- Loves dogs and has a positive attitude!
- 1-2 years assistant or full management experience in the pet care industry
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management skills, and attention to detail
- Understand what is required of this role in terms of time, on-call, and high-pressure situations
- Professional and respectful example of leadership for the team
- Knowledge of the safety and sanitation standards and willingness to uphold and enforce them
- Ability to handle busy daily schedule and ensure completion of daily goals
- Ability to set expectations and hold staff members accountable
Duties:
- Assure superior dog care through procedural compliance (SAFETY, SANITATION, ENGAGEMENT)
- Interview and hire, accountability, and termination
- Manage training of new staff members
- Coach, motivate, and train employees
- Schedule and resolve scheduling challenges with co-manager
- Cover unfilled shifts as required
- Work regular desk and weekend shifts to ensure smooth operating environment
- Provide an excellent customer experience, and resolve issues in a positive, professional manner
- Utilize reports and metrics to monitor and manage staff schedules, associated labor costs, and additional operating expenditures
- Provide weekly reports to ownership regarding company and staff performance
- Manage and maintain supply levels
- Assist coordinating supplier schedules (pest control, landscaping, handyman, landlord)
- Transport or coordinate transport of dogs to/from vet in cases in emergency
- Standardize equipment, branding, procedures, and policies in accordance with franchising needs
