What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Groomer position at Dogtopia?
Dogtopia of South Lafayette is looking for an experienced dog groomer to continue growing our grooming client list. At least one year of professional grooming experience is required. Must be highly motivated, energetic, hardworking, passionate, and willing to interact with ALL grooming clients and their pet parents. Excellent communication skills with customers to determine cut, style, finishing time, and specific customer requests is required. Attention to detail is a must!
Successful candidates will:
- Be comfortable and compassionate handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Possess strong time-management skills and the ability to accurately estimate the length of time needed for each service.
- Have a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
- Possess at least 1 year of professional dog grooming (haircutting) experience.
- Provide a portfolio and references showing the skills necessary to match our high standards.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: 50% commission on grooms with a potential for hourly while our client base is still growing

Schedule: Monday-Friday, no weekends
