Production Manager

Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with an internationally recognized organization as they search for a Production Manager to join the growing team in Crookston, MN. The hours for this opportunity are subject to change so you must be able to work all shifts and salary would be based on experience. To be considered for this position you must have at least 3 years of experience as a leader in a high-volume manufacturing setting, experience with at least 15 direct Reports is also required. What you will do:

• Support all company safety guidelines. Conduct weekly safety walks, enforce all safety policies, ensure all employees are trained in safe work procedures.
• Weekly 5S and monthly world class audits, maintaining the housekeeping checklists and coordination of continued improvement activities.
• Maintain the quality output of the cell, facilitate and lead the self-inspection process.
• Support all quality training to ensure all required material and tools are available.
• Lead the manufacturing cell by coordinating the daily cell meeting.
• Present the result and corrective action based on the weekly review of the cell metric results.
• Maintain the production schedule through the coordination of both in station and out of station requirement, scheduling of overtime as required, cross training the employees to ensure adequate levels of availability at all times.
• The management of personnel issues, conduct daily toolbox talks, respond quickly to all employees concerns, document and conduct employees reviews on time, maintain employee time and attendance records, conduct discipline meeting as required, maintain a visual vacation schedule in the cell, support training needs and requirements.
• Interact with the HR department as required to address employee’s issues and support the hiring process as required

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have good people skills and solid oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to monitor and control many different tasks.
• Must have medium level computer skills and a solid mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
