What you’ll do as a Distribution Clerk :
- Reply to brokers and agents by email with the appointment scheduled on our calendar with arrival dates and times
- Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of ladings, invoices, orders, or other records
- Operate computer with various computer programs to input retrieved data for Bills of Lading and other documents to prepare for pick-up of scheduled products
- Check in all inbound and outbound deliveries with the pickup numbers provided by the drivers and obtain information from drivers to complete the Trailer Inspection Form, print Bill of Ladings, and Pick Sheets to release the product as needed
- Communicate with Dock Coordinators to determine which dock door to send the trucker to
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer service items
- Responsible for directing all incoming phone calls to the right company representative depending on the nature of the call
- Coordinate regular inventory counts as required by customers and the company
- Assist in customer requests and discrepancies
- Complete reports as needed per customer requirements
- Regular use of computer, writing, and filing
What you need to become a Distribution Clerk :
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods with or without reasonable accommodations
- Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees, vendors, customers, and visitors
- Have a good understanding of inventory control policy and procedures based on customers and company requirements #WorkNow
