Potato Inspector - New Pay Rates!

We are seeking candidates for Potato Inspector roles on the 2nd and 3rd shifts. Compensation for these temp-to-hire opportunities is $18.72 per hour. Interested? Read below for more information!

What you’ll do as a Potato Inspector:

• Inspect products for any defects and remove the defects from the process
• Identify different types of raw potatoes, as well as detecting rot and bruises
• Remove foreign material from the process
• Communicate relevant information to fellow employees on the shift and to on-coming employees at shift change
• Communicate all process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, and GMP issues to the department Lead and/or Supervisor
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained
• Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety
• Participate in floor cleaning and sanitation efforts when needed

What you need to be a Potato Inspector:

• Ability to speak, read, and comprehend safety instructions, rules, and warnings
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Basic math skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form
• Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations
• Ability to effectively communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required
