The Product Manager is responsible for the management of Doka US country product portfolio and lifecycle, including maximizing utilization of existing products and supporting with integration of new products / revenue streams. This role will be the main hub for product development / knowledge and product introduction to the marketplace including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with sales, engineering, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The role includes developing and implementing strategies for increasing market share of products in each of the defined US Regions. Continuous training for Doka USA sales teams on products knowledge including technical application, field assembly, features and benefits, how our products compare to the competition and assisting the sales team in sales to customers.
Responsibilities
- Implementation of country product strategy, managing product portfolio, monitoring success of products in the marketplace, and developing / implementing strategies for increasing market share of products in Doka USA.
- Maximize utilization of equipment and guide in the development of future products / solutions / services that fit the market needs.
- Skill development and knowledge transfer of Doka business information, products and processes.
- Cooperate / Lead projects within the product innovation process, product introduction, product improvement and product re-launch.
- Continuously coach and develop sales team to raise their product competence level and conduct ongoing product knowledge training sessions.
- Identify areas of growth potential and support with development of strategic plans for defined areas of focus.
- Coach sales teams and provides appropriate and timely feedback on their performance during customer calls.
- Conduct market studies to define requirements along with likelihood of success and revenue potential.
- Work in cooperation with marketing on various activities including campaigns, development of literature, press releases and the management / execution of trade show exhibitions.
- Maintain an awareness of, and exercising judgment in, such areas as market conditions, competitive activities and general economic conditions and in accordance with governmental, legislative and regulatory matters.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in an engineering/technical undergraduate discipline and / or 10 years industry-related experience related to the US market.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to indirectly manage and influence a diverse team to achieve desired results.
- Thorough knowledge of the industry business model and the various aspects of the concrete forming business.
- Previous industry sales experience and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills including and command of English (speaking, reading, writing).
- Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency and effective problem solving skills.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to work as an organized team player in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within the Region up to 50%.
