Job Posting for Fund Development Director at Domestic Violence Project, Inc.
The Director of Fund Development directs fundraising and cultivation efforts as a key strategy in the engagement of new supporters and the deepening of individual commitments to advance the mission of the agency. Creates fundraising strategies, campaigns, and capital development initiatives. Responsible for grant prospecting, writing, management, and tracking. Oversees the marketing function.
Create a fund development strategy that includes grants, sponsorships, major gifts, planned giving, events, campaigns, endowments, and donors
Utilizing donor data, development metrics, and giving trends, identify opportunities to increase donor engagement and improve financial success with budgeted resources needed to meet organizational priorities
Develop and cultivate positive and inclusive relationships with diverse community, civic, and corporate leaders
Research and write compelling grant proposals, funding applications, letters of inquiry, and acknowledgement letters
Maintain a detailed central grants calendar; monitor all grant cycles, deadlines, renewal processes, and action items to ensure continued funding
Direct all marketing and communications needs related to fund development, including event marketing, outcome publications, and donor outreach materials
Interview, select, onboard, instruct, cross-train, and supervise department employees
Ensure timeliness and accuracy of records maintained in shared systems, including event sponsorship, donor management, grant tracking and reporting software
