What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freshman Admissions Counselor position at Dominican College?
Dominican College is currently seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented Freshman Admissions Counselor to assist the College in achieving its student enrollment goals. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Freshman Admissions Counselor will participate primarily in all aspects of freshman admissions operations, including but not limited to the evaluation of applicant credentials and scholarship recommendations, visiting secondary schools, presenting to students/parents/counselors, involvement in special events and group tours, and collaboration with Financial Aid and other office on campus, cultivation of relationships with students, parents/guardians and high school counselors.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills; well-developed organizational and time management skills; computer expertise in Microsoft Applications, ability to travel regularly, with occasional evening, weekend and overnight assignments as needed; valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle; high degree of personal motivation, self-management and detail orientation. Previous admissions experience, fluency in Spanish, and Slate experience is a plus.
