PRN Contract Psychologist in Salem

Dominion Medical Consulting is seeking a clinical or forensic psychologist (PsyD or PhD) to conduct mental status evaluations for the Social Security Administration. This is an independent contractor, 1099 position.

Examinations are low risk. No provider-patient relationship is established, and you would not be responsible for ordering any tests, medications, or follow-up. Right now, there is enough work to support up to 2-4 days per month in Salem, OR. We are also hiring a similar position currently for Eugene, OR. This is a great moonlighting/side-gig opportunity, but not full-time. It is in-person only at this time as well. We have availability any time 9:00-5:00 M-F and you could determine your own schedule. We would handle the actual scheduling of claimants for you after you give your availability each month and provide you with a clean professional office to conduct the evaluations. We provide a template that you can use to help guide your examination.

The ideal candidate should have at least familiarity with psychological testing. The tests most frequently needed are the WAIS, WISC, and WMS. Ideal candidates should be comfortable assessing both adult and pediatric claimants. If you are interested in providing psychological testing but do not have access to testing materials, we would provide these for you.

Work will be contracted out on an as-needed basis. Currently we could schedule up to 3 days per month, if desired. Set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you would like. Reimbursement is $240 per report. An MSE IQ test is $240, while a more comprehensive neuropsychological assessment (including an MSE IQ test WMS and trails test) is $480. Typically, on a full day, you could expect to have 3 IQ tests and one comprehensive neuropsychological assessment.
