A Restaurant Dishwasher is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes so that Cooks and Servers have the supplies needed to prepare and serve the freshest meals to our Guests. Dishwashers are expected to follow thorough cleansing procedures to sanitize each dish according to health and safety standards. In addition, by efficiently washing multiple loads of dishes, Dishwashers are responsible for ensuring that each station has a steady supply of clean pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, and silverware.
The right person will be passionate about food, hospitality, and cleanliness. Thriving in a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate will be self-motivated and work efficiently under high pressure. This person will be agile and flexible, able to respond to different priorities and quickly rearrange their workflow to immediately get Restaurant Cooks and Servers the correct type of dishes they need. To succeed in this role, having good stamina to perform repetitive tasks while standing on your feet for hours is critical.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized per health and safety standards
- Maintain organization in the dish pit by sorting dirty dishes into different categories, emptying garbage cans, and assembling drying rack for clean items
- Continuously restock Kitchen, Busser, and Server stations with clean dishes
- Assemble, operate, and break down the commercial dish machine
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day, placing dishes and equipment on high and low shelves
- Capable of working in hot, damp, fast-paced environments
- Ability to safely operate dishwashing equipment and machinery
- Knowledge of required sanitation standards and health codes
- Interpersonal skills to interact with other team members
- Excellent hand-eye coordination to safely carry, clean, and organize tools such as heavy equipment, cutting knives, mixer blades, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
