Manage and direct the daily activities of one of the department's divisions, stations or sections. Act as liaison with outside agencies, command all subordinate personnel, and manage all supervisory personnel within the assigned division.
This is a safety sensitive position
As a member of the Executive Command Staff, tasks include but are not limited to:

ADDITIONAL DUTIES. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education. Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
Experience. Nine (9) years total certified law enforcement experience. Must have held the rank of Lieutenant for a minimum of two (2) years. In addition to having successfully passed a First Line Supervisory course, must have an additional 40 hours of supervisory training with 24 of those hours in mid-level, administrative or management training.
Education/Experience substitution. In accordance with County policy.
Licenses/Certifications. Must have a valid driver’s license with a verified record of good driving history. Must maintain a satisfactory driving record in accordance with County policy. Must have current New Mexico Law Enforcement Certification.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED BY THE POSITION: Demonstrates advanced level of practical knowledge of a wide range of technical methods, principles and practices similar to a narrow area of a professional field; and skill in applying this knowledge to such assignments as the design and planning of difficult and well-presented projects.
