Responsibilities
Complete Building Services is seeking a skilled and experienced High Voltage Electrician to join our team in Laurel, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, and operation of high voltage electrical systems and equipment. This role requires an in-depth understanding of high voltage electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work in various conditions. Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
- Install, maintain, and operate high voltage electrical systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, and power lines
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including system failures and malfunctions. Utilize testing equipment to identify problems and implement solutions
- Adhere to all safety regulations and standards while working with high voltage systems. Ensure the safe handling and use of electrical tools and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and upgrades to ensure systems are functioning optimally and in compliance with current codes and standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and inspections. Complete required documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring system reliability
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with high voltage electrical systems, typically 5-10 years
- Master license preferred with specialized training in high voltage systems
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skill, with a thorough understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and high voltage safety practices
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy equipment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, supervisors, and clients
