What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Extern- Summmer position at Door County Medical Center?

The Nurse Extern will work under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs selected and delegated nursing tasks in the care of patients.

Education Required: Must be a nursing student attaining senior status in the fall after the summer program. Preferred to have completed at least one acute care clinical, acute care theory class and a pharmacology course.

Credential/Licensure Required: CPR Certification required.

Shifts: Working 32-40 hours a week, temporary summer position. Seeking nursing students for multiple nursing units (Emergency Services, Medical/Surgical Unit, Surgery, Skilled Nursing Facility).
