Reports to: Senior Manager Production Planning and Director of Operations

Employment / Status: Full-time, Exempt, Not a remote position
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Plans production and routes customer orders to provide efficient production schedules in conjunction with capacities, delivery requirements and customer demand. Must effectively communicate information and respond to questions from Sales Team, Production Team, customers and 3rdparty logistics partner. Provides daily production/delivery schedules to appropriate associates. Addresses any production/delivery issues that may occur and communicates to the required parties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and release Production/Delivery Schedules to factory floor and logistics team.
- Monitor product inventory levels and create production schedules to fill any deficiencies.
- Plans set routes and integrates new customers into existing routes.
- Determines where new routes are needed and plans adjustments for seasonality.
- Confirm delivery appointment times with customers and communicate to carriers.
- Create Load Sheets with specific delivery/loading instructions for shipping department/delivery agents
- Communicates with 3rdparty logistics to coordinate any changes or issues with delivery routes
- Communicate effectively with Sales Team members to resolve discrepancies or special orders.
- Analyzes existing routes for opportunities to improve cost and improved customer service.
- Report issues or problems with scheduling process to immediate supervisor(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
COMPETENCIES:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Position is highly detail-orientated with an essential emphasis on accuracy
- Ability to communicate on a professional level with 3rdparty logistics, customers, co-workers, and other company staff
- Will assist in inventory verification requiring occasional lifting
- Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing projects and priorities in a fast-paced working environment
- Ability to provide a good customer experience through proper communication and follow up
- Preferred 3–5 years manufacturing/logistics experience with knowledge of DOT regulations.
- College degree, 2-3 years, preferred.
- High-level computer competency required.

- Ability to learn and become proficient in using internal operating system (OHM System).
