We are looking for a Sanitation Manager to join our growing operations team. The Sanitation Manager will be responsible for overseeing all sanitation activities within our food manufacturing facility to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of sanitation practices in the food industry, and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
Location - this role is based out of Burr Ridge production facility 5 days/week. It may also require occasional travel to our Elmhurst shipping facility.
About the role:
- Develop and implement sanitation policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage and supervise sanitation staff, including hiring, training, scheduling and performance management
- Coordinate with internal and external sanitation partners to ensure the highest level of equipment and facility cleanliness for both Elmhurst and Burr Ridge facilities
- Develop and adhere to annual sanitation budgets for both materials and contracts
- Assess and manage a Master Sanitation Program, including SSOPs, a master sanitation schedule, SDS binder and chemical/supply ordering and management
- Develop tools and processes to validate effective cleaning and sanitation procedures are in place, including supporting documentation
- Communicate routinely with other departments to support overall facility success
- Being a self-starter to lead the corrective action process when sanitation or safety concerns arise
- Build on your technical knowledge to teach and train on good sanitation and safety practices and GMPs

- 3 years sanitation management or related experience. Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges and execute at a high level
- H.S. diploma or other relevant work experience
- Experience with industrial sanitation chemical and safety programs
Nice to have or you’ll learn:
- Bilingual
- Experience in food or beverage manufacturing
- OSHA General Industry Certifications or training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
