The Banquet Server is responsible to serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and first-class customer service. The Banquet Server processes food and beverages based upon contracted events such as Weddings, Seminars, Misc. Parties, and Conferences. The ideal candidate has a warm and friendly personality that puts our customers at ease and sets expectations of a memorable event. A minimum of 6 months experience as a server is preferred but will train right person.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Transporting the dining supplies to and from the function site
· Properly setting the dining/buffet/hors d'oeuvre tables
· Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
· Takes orders and serves meals and beverages promptly and courteously
· Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
· Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
· Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and all company policies*
· Any other task, written or verbal, that is assigned by a supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· One year of relevant experience
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
· Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
· Must be capable of lifting 30 lbs.
· Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
