What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse specialist position at Douglas County?
The Position
Temporary positions are not benefits eligible .
Incumbent works under the direction of the Department Coordinator or designee, performing various warehouse duties for the Election Office.
Essential Functions
- Set up election equipment.
- Prepare election materials.
- Organize supplies.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, supervisors, County employees, elected officials, attorneys, law enforcement, judges, other agencies, and the general public.
- Comply with Civil Service policies and regulations, collective bargaining agreements, County policies, and laws to create a cooperative, safe, respectful and quality work environment.
- Report to assigned location with regular, consistent attendance.
- Perform other duties as directed and assigned.
Education and Work Experience and Other Requirements
- Must be a registered voter or eligible to register to vote.
- One (1) year of warehouse experience preferred.
- Completion of a pre-employment criminal background check, post-offer drug screen and physical assessment.

Required sensory abilities include vision, hearing and touch. Visual abilities, correctable to normal ranges include close, distance and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Communication abilities include the ability to talk and hear within normal ranges. The incumbent must possess the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate computers and other equipment to perform the essential functions.
