Post Doc Fellow

Overview

We are currently searching for a Postdoc Fellow to support the research objectives of the fertility and reproductive health group. The Postdoctoral Fellow will complete literature searches and assemble reference libraries for systematic reviews and summary documents. The Fellow will contribute to writing commentary or review manuscripts. The Fellow may assist with questionnaire review and assessment and support active research projects in the group. The Fellow will mentor other students and trainees in the performance of these tasks. This opportunity is part-time, and it is on site in Research Triangle Park, NC. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Write scholarly articles that synthesize the literature such as systematic reviews, commentaries, or policy recommendations
• Conduct comprehensive literature searches and systematic reviews
• Search scientific literature to select and modify methods and procedures
• Provide expertise in the design, management and evaluation of study protocols and health status questionnaires, sample selection and analysis
• Conduct public health policy research and analysis to identify shortfalls and recommend courses of action
• Advance the science through proposing and investigating new target projects for initiation based on novelty and relevance to human health
• Work with staff on the interpretation of experiments performed by research scientists
• Review scientific data to determine if a research program can be developed around an idea or data package

Requirements

Qualifications:

• PhD in Community and Public Health or similar disclipine
• At least one (1) year of experience

Skills:

• Systematic reviews
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Mentoring or teaching
• Microsoft Office
• EndNote or similar reference manager software
