Software Testing Lead

• Executing smoke, integration, regression, and performance tests on NCEP supported software (e.g. MAG, NAWIPS, weather.gov, radar.weather.gov, etc.)
• Managing test team resources according to priority set by customer
• Applying quality assurance practices throughout the software development cycle
• Collaborating with other team members and departments
• Detecting and tracking software defects and inconsistencies using JIRA
• Creating, editing, and maintaining test documentation on Confluence

• 
  BS/BA degree in Meterology, Computer Science, Physics, Mathemartics or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6 years’ experience in related field.
• Experience working with visual representations of data, preferably in a geospatial environment
• Experience with change management and version control systems, such as Git.
• Experience working on a LINUX workstation
• Ability to write and edit shell scripts
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information and work status accurately and reliably to project managers.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Understanding of observational data visualization and/or meteorological forecasting tools.
• Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Browser Stack, etc)
• Experience working with JIRA and Confluence
• Experience in the field of Meteorology
• Experience in a team lead role
