Job Title: Manager, Finance
Location: Richmond, VA
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a Manager, Finance who will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing plants for our Case Division. This person will work cross-functionally to provide business insights and financial leadership to help drive strategic and financial initiatives. The Finance Manager will be responsible for performing full P&L and balance sheet analysis, along with forecast load/maintenance in the system.
What you’ll be responsible for:
Business Partnership
- Requires business partnership with manufacturing operations, commercial sales, product management & division controllers
- Develops financial models to support business objectives including savings initiatives, labor optimization, customer & product profitability analysis and profit margin analysis
Annual Budget, Monthly Forecasting & Ongoing Variance Analysis
- Leads financial planning and processes, including month-end close, monthly forecasting and the annual operating plan (AOP)
- Prepares and analyzes the monthly financial results to produce forecasts and commentary for divisional business leadership
- Interpret and evaluate monthly analyses to identify areas of risk and opportunities and provide insights and recommendations for improvement
Strategy & Leadership
- Manage a team of 3 financial analysts, including coaching & development
- Identify and/or validate capital expenditure (CapEx) projects
- Present and communicate to all levels of the business, including executive team
- Design, develop and implement methods and strategies to continually improve processes
- Streamline & automate reporting into Power BI and Hyperion where possible
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics- 8 years of finance or accounting experience
- 2 years of leading teams (direct reports or projects)
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of Operations Finance, Decision Support or FP&A- 3 years of experience supporting a manufacturing environment
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, Economics or Professional Certification (CPA or CFA)
Strengths needed for this role:
- Advanced technical skills in Power Query, Power BI, Smart View, Hyperion, Access, Oracle, or SQL a plus
- Prior financial responsibility for full P&L or Balance Sheet
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with establishing collaborative cross-functional relationships in a large & complex organization
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve problems with multiple variables
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Focus on sustainable process improvement
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office software, budgeting and financial reporting software, also be willing and capable of learning new systems and tools
- Flexible with work schedule especially during month, quarter and year-end closing
