Accountabilities: Efficiently and effectively assist with the satisfactory completion and administration of the following items to meet the needs of both internal and external customers - Safety, Product Assembly and Quality Assurance.
Job Responsibilities:
Works with quality, the receiving department and customer service to process customer returns (RMA) into ERP system. Works with those cross functional departments to determine inspection priorities based on customer demand and reduction of floor space.
Performs failure mode analysis of customer returned products and provides final disposition.
Accurately document and log the results of inspections and/or tests into warranty analysis log to evaluate External PPM and review trends in product nonconformances.
Assist in writing and updating warranty analysis procedures, protocols, and checklists.
Ensuring all gauges and equipment in the warranty analysis area are in proper working condition, are maintained and in calibration.
Complete continuous improvement projects and 5S.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
3 years of Quality Inspection and/or Assembly experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment preferred.
Good communication and listening skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Must be able to spell and use proper grammar.
Must be able to prioritize and organize daily tasks. Must be detail oriented, a quick learner and have a reasonable inspection speed with high inspection accuracy.
Proficiency using Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Word.
Must be able to comply with all plant and safety policies.
Must be willing and able to work independently; the ability to have a customer focused mindset is key as this position will require interfacing with both shop and office staff.
Must be able to wear all required PPE.
Experience using an ERP system such as oracle is preferred.
Must be able to stand, lift up to 35 lbs., bend, push, pull, twist, kneel and work in weather extremes.
Central Goal: Works with customer service to receive and process RMAs into system, dispositions the RMA, determines root cause of the failure, and logs the RMA with detail of root cause in RMA log.
Dimension: Accountable for auditing products received on RMA for failure mode. Accountable for maintaining all inspection, measurement, and testing equipment in RMA area. Responsible for ensuring organization of RMA area and ensuring RMAs are processed in a timely manner.
