About You And This Role
In this role, you will serve as the Operations Leader for the Dow owned and Olin operated assets (BO, DPO, Telone facilities) within Texas Operations. You will applying leadership skills to optimize plant operations, resolve plant problems, control overall budgeted spend, oversee execution of improvement projects, and enable safe and efficient production of low cost, quality products. The individual will work closely with Olin on process safety management activities and will have direct oversight to build new organizational structure to help minimize communication gaps, budget overruns, and overall Safety/Environmental reporting. In addition, you will have leadership responsibility for up to 3 Dow direct reports.

About You And This Role
In this role, you will serve as the Operations Leader for the Dow owned and Olin operated assets (BO, DPO, Telone facilities) within Texas Operations. Responsibilities
- Understand and ensure operation of Dow Owned/Olin Operated Assets per the agreed upon Operating Agreements
- Understands integration issues between the TXO site and the three Dow owned and Olin operated plants
- Partners with the Olin and Dow Production leaders to drive a strong personal safety, process safety, and environmental improvement plan to achieve EH&S goals and ensure compliance with regulatory and permit requirements.
- Works closely with the Olin operations team leveraging Dow Technical Centers and EH&S for their problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
- Elevates and appropriately applies knowledge of the plant and technology referencing historical data (provided by Olin) and conferring with Technology Center or other subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Partners with Dow Production Leader to ensure capital is allocated appropriately to design out industrial hygiene hazards, improve environmental compliance, and reduce personal/process safety hazards.
- Works with Olin production team to implement administrative controls and process controls for safe and reliable operation
- Supports Production Leader to provide motivation, explanation, context, and communication purpose of messages to Olin leadership and direct employees.
- Reviews and Stewards Key Process Indicators (KPI)/ trends, developed by Olin, to ensure optimum performance of Dow assets operated by a third party.
- Responds urgently to plant issues and emergencies and ensures that Dow /Olin personnel are available for discussions or action.
- Knows the business model and strategy for facility. Explains to operations how the plant fits into the business and corporation.
- Continuously works to improve the total cost of production (raw material, conversion cost and activity rate, etc.). May take a leadership role in maintaining the budget as delegated by the Production Leader.
- Partners with improvement teams to reach agreement on proposed improvement plans and ensures plant resources are available to achieve the plan. Ensures controls are implemented in operating discipline and process control as applicable to sustain improvements.
- Develops strong partnerships with support functions such as EHS, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and others to drive improvement in the organization and assure alignment.
- Responsible for secondary approvals when Production Leader is unavailable.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (i.e. engineering, manufacturing, or related)
- Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights. Candidates must be familiar with, or willing to undergo training in, the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure safe movement and operations at heights.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in engineering.
- Proficiency in SAP and Budgeting.
- This position is located in Freeport, TX.
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for this role and may be provided based on eligibility.
