Position: Director of Facilities and Grounds

Position Purpose:
Responsible for the comprehensive leadership of maintenance and custodial requirements of the district, including
safety, cleanliness, and care for the school facilities and grounds.

Qualifications and skills requirements:
To be successful, an individual must perform essential duties effectively. These consist of, but are not limited to
being collaborative, having strong organizational skills, prior experience with warehouse/inventory, maintenance,
skill, trades, custodial and staff scheduling.

Education and Experience/Certification:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in construction/plant management is preferred
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in plant management or building and grounds
  • Ability to work effectively with people
  • Strong collaborative leadership and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Excel & Word, and ability to learn other software programs
  • Certifications, or the ability to obtain, for Asbestos, hazardous waste disposal, water
certification(5f), and pesticide certification
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

Starting Date: Until filled

Contract: 52 weeks (full-time), salary and benefits
