We are currently seeking a day shift, full time, CNC Machine Operator able to operate CNC Turning Centers in our air-conditioned, job shop setting. Qualified candidates will be team players with a minimum of 5 years of operator experience, able to work to close tolerances, with working knowledge of Fanuc Controls or DMG Mori CELOS MAPPSV. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the operation of the CNC Lathe(s) to produces a quality part in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
- Read and follow blueprint requirements to produce a quality part, making appropriate tool adjustments, offsets, and troubleshooting, as necessary.
- Inspect and monitor parts to ensure tolerances and part specifications are maintained. Document quality checks and fill out supporting QC paperwork.
- Additional responsibilities include maintaining machine fluid levels and other daily maintenance items.
- Communicate daily with management and inspectors.
- Keep accurate counts and production records.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and keep the work area clean and free of any safety hazards.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong math skills.
- Mechanical ability.
- Should have knowledge and use of other shop tools including saw, bench grinders, inspection equipment, and basic computer knowledge.
- Able to make good decisions and work independently as needed.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with thread and ring gauges, micrometers, bore mics, and other measuring instruments.
- Able to read blueprints and follow verbal and written instructions.
- 5 years’ minimum experience on the job in a similar role.
