We are in search of an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will have experience in a manufacturing environment, with solid knowledge of standard cost accounting, trial balance preparation, month-end closing processes, reconciliation, and expertise in general accounting principles; general knowledge of tax reporting, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, as well as experience in using ERP, MRP, and MES systems. The individual in this role will be able to demonstrate an independent ability to determine root cause for identified issues in conjunction with proactive solutions, adeptly manage a team in accordance with the finance and accounting priorities, and independently and proactively manage the construct and activities of the accounting/finance department.
The Accounting Manager’s responsibilities will prompt the team to create financial reports, ongoing processes, and accounting controls that ensure both high levels of integrity and accuracy. This position will understand how standard cost accounting directly affects the financial statements and, as a result, establish and proactively manage policies and procedures that prevent risk and error; classify costs accurately, and establish & update standard costs. Experience managing or having been on a team in support of internal and external audits will be viewed positively. Experience implementing and integrating ERP/MRP/MES systems is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate and on-time month end close and audit activities 40%
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting: Board/Corporate/Fincom/Financial Statements 20%
- Management: Oversee all Finance Dept activities and staff 20%
- General Administrative Functions: Meetings/Email/Approvals/Goal Setting 20%
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide audit support as needed
- Other duties as needed
Education:
Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Preferred: MBA
License or Certifications: Preferred
- CPA
- CMA
Minimum Experience:
- 5-10 years Standard Cost Accounting and Finance Experience
Preferred Experience
- 5-10 years Manufacturing Experience
- 5-10 years Mid-size (50-200M) private company

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $91K- $122K, competitive salary based on experience
- Annual Bonus: 20%; eligible to participate in 2023 program; prorated 1st year based on date of hire
