Key responsibilities:

• Develop scope of work and determine deliverables for projects based on preliminary reviews and meetings with the Client
• Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical, structural, architectural and process to develop designs
• Execute site master planning, concept designs and preliminary engineering phases with other team members as the Advance Technology Group (ATG).
• Prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyze operation of existing systems.
• Be able progress the sequence of operation (SSO) development with our Clients systems owners.
• Identify and research future Semiconductor industry trends. Keep on top of technology and industry developments.
• Assist in the development of group’s systems, procedures, standards and knowledge management.
• Support Business Development through client engagement at senior levels.
• Develop, organize and control programs to eliminate existing or potential process / engineering / design problems and innovate and deliver plant improvements for our clients.
• Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with multi-discipline designers.
• Perform I&C design work across several engineering disciplines in 2D/3D integrated design systems.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and vendor bid evaluations.
• Assist in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets for projects.
• Size and specify instruments and produce datasheets
• Develop control system architecture
• Panel design for control systems
• Develop standard installation details.
• Update P&ID’s with controls content.
• Produce control system philosophy with input from other disciplines as required.
• Produce instrument lists and cable schedules
• Provide technical backup to the operations design teams in resolving specific complex process/plant problems.

Skills & experience required:

• 3-5 years of relevant I&C Engineering/Design experience
• Expertise/knowledge Instrumentation & Controls engineering design programs
• Knowledge of electrical systems designs and applicable codes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Experience with MCC and VFD control requirements.
• Familiar with wiring regulations
• Familiar with ATEX requirements
• Result-oriented, customer-focused.
• General knowledge of electrical system design and applicable codes.
• Ability to interact with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.
