What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Assistant position at Dr. Blackshare DDS?
We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant who will enjoy assisting the Dentist and Associate Dentists by performing a variety of tasks to help in the dental treatment of patients. The successful candidate will have a background in dental assisting, and be capable of operating dental equipment, preparing rooms for procedures, sterilizing instruments and handling emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Use intraoral x-ray equipment.
- Organize dental health files.
- Take and process dental radiographs.
- Perform dental laboratory procedures or select materials for restorations.
- Operate operating room sterilizers.
- Measure anesthetic drug levels in patient's blood using a standard laboratory technique.
- Operate dental laboratory machines to produce preformed restorative materials and temporary crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Operate dental instruments to prepare teeth for restoration procedures.
- Dispose of contaminated materials into a sterilizer.
- Prepare patients for dental treatment.
- Assist the dentist during treatment procedures.
- Train patients on oral hygiene techniques.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
