Starting Wage
$33.00/hr
Location
Various retail and event locations throughout Portland, OR.
Status
This is a temporary part-time position. Schedule is flexible; an estimated 100 hours of demoing per month.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-store product demonstrations and display marketing materials, as advised by Demo Coordinator.
- Work with Demo Coordinator to create and execute strategic demo schedule.
- Adhere to Food Safety Guidelines when performing food demonstrations.
- Accurately complete product audit reports, including photos and receipts, and submit by established timelines.
- Maintain certifications, demo equipment, order necessary supplies and manage inventory effectively.
- Communicate with Demo Coordinator on any in-store or event issues regarding product availability, reception, or changes in demo schedules.
- Collaborate with retailer point of contact (department heads, store manager, etc.) to ensure ample product supply available to support demo.
- Attend monthly team conference calls for national campaign and new product training.
- Maintain orderly work area and arrangement of materials.
- Provide administrative support as needed.
- Participate in local weekend events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned within job scope.
Qualifications

- At least 2 years of demo or sales experience in retail, marketing, or other related field.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Food Handler’s License.
- Technical proficiency in Promomash, Excel, Outlook and the internet.
- Capable of lifting, carrying and balancing objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must have access to the use of a smart phone, multi-function copier/scanner/printer, personal computer, and reliable vehicle for transporting demo materials.
Any combination of educational and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration of this position.
