We seek an established VP of Finance to join our team at Dragonfly
Founded in 2019, Dragonfly is an acquirer and developer of standout eCommerce brands. Our team is led by founders with extensive experience on the Amazon platform and in the eCommerce ecosystem. Since our founding, we have developed proprietary algorithms and technologies to inform our acquisition strategy as well as in-house new product development and creative capabilities to build de novo brands and products at scale. With our unique approach, we quickly identify promising brands and grow them to their full potential.
We have raised over $500M in equity and debt to pursue our vision and are backed by industry-leading consumer-focused Private Equity firm, L Catterton. We are projecting to continue adding brands and products at a rapid pace over the coming years and are looking for high-caliber and well-rounded team members with the capabilities to help us achieve our ambitious vision.
Role & Responsibilities.
- Lead and build a finance team in a fast growth company.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Lead strategy, development and execution of all finance functions, including financial planning & analysis, reporting, accounting and tax.
- Identify and address systems and process gaps to increase transparency and improvement of financial planning and reporting.
- Guide a fast growing business and ensure it achieves its financial forecasts by scheduing expenditures, analyzing variances, and initating corective actions.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture within the finance org of financial tools, business models and planning processes.
- Maintain relationships with equity and debt investors.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years of experience leading an accounting and/or finance teams, ideally in a high growth company or startup.
- 3 statement financial modeling and experience building a long range plan is a must.
- Proven ability to implement detailed accounting processes and controls.
- Experience with debt facilities, covenant reporting and testing.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience managing auditors.
- Excited about building a financial program, largely from the ground up.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and excited to be part of a high-performing and entrepreneurial team and company.
