JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises day-to-day production activities with assembly, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
- Maintain current knowledge of main and sub-assembly responsibilities.
- Review Production Schedule each day to obtain information regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products.
- Print work orders in a timely fashion to insure that shipping dates will be met.
- Provide up-to-date drawings, B.O.M’s and special instruction to all production employees.
- Ensure adherence to production and quality control standards.
- Ensure all main units are assembled and shipped on time to meet customer requirements; revise production schedules as result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Determine part or sub-assembly shortages daily, via work orders that have been issued to stockroom and report all shortages immediately to sub-assy lead and manager.

Cut work orders for future Unit and other assemblies as needed.
- Close all completed work orders for units and other required assemblies to be shipped COB each day.
- Submit needed changes, updates, deletion or additions to the B.O.M or work orders to ENG and Manager in writing via EMAIL. Follow up to make sure change was implemented.
- Determine the cause of and initiate the corrective action for component or assembly failure by the use of electronic test equipment. Follow up with the correct departments on repeat offenders and work to put processes and changes in place to eliminate them.
- Repair update and maintain all electrical test equipment or meters.
- Hands on experience in assembling computer based electrical devices.
- Reviews production, quality control, maintenance, and operational data to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
- Review manufacturing inventory list monthly, working with sub-assy lead adjusting Min-Max and order status requirements as needed; purge system of obsolete part numbers.
- Review Open Work Order list with sub-assy and stockroom leads weekly for any work orders that remain open for longer than two weeks.
- Participates in the development and implementation of operating procedures designed to eliminate assembly problems and improve product quality.
- Consult with engineering regarding all ECO changes, non-conforming parts, equipment modification, and product development issues in order to maximize the efficiency and quality of product assembly.
- Update main & sub-assembly production process as required.
- Coordinate with Purchasing on obtaining shop supplies.
Non-Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides additional support to the Production department as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Production Assembly Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of all areas within the Production Department. Conduct training, counseling and enact disciplinary actions with production staff. Provide input into Assembly staff’s performance management reviews and maintain attendance records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of two (8) years’ experience in an electronic manufacturing environment or diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical devices. At least one (3) year of supervisory or team-leader experience is required.
OTHER REQUIRMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skill in using MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Skill in using assembly techniques and equipment.
- Knowledge of MS Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of basic computer operations and repair.
- Ability to read schematics and drawings
- Knowledge of flashing or loading software on programmable devices.
- Ability to read schematics and drawings for the purpose of assembling or trouble shooting components or assemblies.
