Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist with DRB Systems

DRB Systems is a growing and vibrant software company in need of an Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist. The individual in this role will be an integral part in achieving the Finance team’s goals of maintaining timely and accurate reporting, streamlining processes to improve efficiencies, and creating an organization that is both efficient and scalable. What will our Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist do?

• Monitor the companies AR again and identify overdue accounts.
• Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to collect or negotiate a payment plan.
• Maintain records of contacts and attempt contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records for any payments collected from the customer.
• Interact with customers regarding invoices, statements, and credits to resolve outstanding issues.
• Research and solve payment discrepancies.
• Implement/monitor processing of credit memos.
• Assist with reconciliation of general ledger A/R related accounts.
• File and maintain accurate customer records both paper and electronic
• Assist in establishing, modifying, and documenting AR procedures and controls
• Complete special projects giving insightful analysis when needed
• Provide support to the Finance Team, as necessary

The right candidate will have:

• Experience: Minimum Three – Five years’ experience in accounts receivable collections preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to take a learned concept and apply it to a similar situation.
• Must be a self-motivated, proactive individual who can work independently as well as within a team setting; eager to take on new and challenging assignments
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple priorities, manage deadlines, work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including strong Excel skills.
• Bonus Points: Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Acumatica and QuickBooks
