SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The primary role of the Regional Vice President of Purchasing is to provide management and oversight at a senior level to ensure of the success of the divisions assigned. This position will report directly to the National Vice President of Purchasing with a dotted line to the Regional President and will assist divisions with company process compliance, supplier/distributor/trade negotiations, system accuracy and set up, monitoring and management for set up of all plans/communities/costs/quantities/options/retails, cost reductions, vendor selection, identifying trade needs and assisting divisions with finding applicable trades, quality control, cycle time management, estimating accuracy, regional agreements and programs, and will assist with monitoring staffing needs. This position requires strong negotiation skills with an aptitude towards database management and keen attention to detail. The position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position will report directly to the National Vice President of Purchasing, travel to assigned divisions will be required.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. Vision abilities required by the job are close vision. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate office equipment such as a computer, copier, and office supplies.
In addition, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with their arms and hands, and to stoop, kneel or crouch. Employee will be exposed to construction sites where temperature and noise levels vary. Travel between divisions and to construction sites is likely.
