Equipment Manager

In the spirit of excellence, we seek an Equipment Manager to safeguard our fleet and uphold our commitment to unparalleled golf experiences. Under the guidance of the Golf Course Superintendent, the Equipment Manager will orchestrate a comprehensive preventative maintenance program, ensuring the seamless operation of our equipment fleet amidst the rugged beauty of Rodeo Dunes.

Rodeo Dunes is a public golf resort developed by Michael and Chris Keiser, owners of Sand Valley Golf Resort. Situated less than an hour's drive from Denver and Denver International Airport, Rodeo Dunes offers a balance of both accessibility and escape. 

Drawing from its Dream Golf lineage of Bandon Dunes and Sand Valley, the resort will provide a captivating outpost for golf travelers from day one. Set on over 2,000 acres of historic, towering sand dunes, Rodeo Dunes is poised to establish itself as a world-class golf destination.

Two-course routings are complete – one by the acclaimed duo of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, and the other marking the solo debut of longtime C&C associate Jimmy Craig. 

With a rollicking, sandy dunescape, welcoming Western hospitality, and inspiring long views of the Rocky Mountains, Rodeo Dunes is set to become one of the world’s great new golf experiences. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1.    Equipment Fleet Management:

·         Oversee all aspects of the golf course's equipment fleet.

·         Implement and manage a detailed maintenance program, including accurate record-keeping of repairs and maintenance schedules.

2.    Budget and Inventory Control:

·         Develop and manage the equipment repair and maintenance budget.

·         Oversee ordering and inventory to ensure optimal stock levels and cost-effective purchasing.

3.    Facility Maintenance and Safety:

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe equipment facility.

·         Prioritize safety in all operations and maintenance activities.

4.    Operational Support and Training:

·         Support the annual maintenance budget and operational plan development.

·         Ensure efficient, safe equipment operation, and assist in training staff on maintenance and operation procedures.

·         Adjust mowing units regularly and assist in broader maintenance, construction, and grow-in operations.

5.    Administrative Responsibilities:

·         Maintain thorough records of department activities, including equipment repair and safety meetings.

·         Ensure timely submission of operational, financial, and budgetary reports.

6.    Professional Development:

·         Stay updated with industry developments through continuous learning and engagement with relevant associations and publications.

• A high school diploma is required; a college degree is preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds and working in various weather conditions.
• Advanced knowledge in golf course equipment repair and maintenance, including reel grinding.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing turf and landscape equipment.
• Welding and metal fabrication skills are advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, plan strategically, and lead staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with a positive attitude in all circumstances.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
