Job Summary
This position is responsible for supervising an operation related to the delivery of beverages and superlative beverage service to include planning, organizing, and coordinating related activities to ensure efficient operation of the department
Duties & Functions
- Effectively operate and manage the floor during shifts.
- Completes daily operational checklist for consistency of floor management to include:
- Setup and execute daily floor shifts
- Lineups
- Reservation reports/Open Table
- VIP experiences
- Sections
- Ability to run a responsible floor shift
- Cash handling
- Manages, trains, monitors and coaches bar staff
- Directs and assigns bar employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards
- Prepares employee work schedules; monitors and makes appropriate adjustments to staffing levels
- Monitors and maintains beverage inventory levels and costs. Places orders for supplies within cost control procedures
- Maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Manages beverage programming throughout 4th Ave outlets
- Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times
- Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests
- Interview and hire bar crew to achieve proper staffing levels
Qualifications & Standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant /bar management experience, experience running shifts without supervision
- Must be able to secure state required TABC License
