Job Description: As the Head Cannabis Grower, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the cultivation operations at our greenhouse facility in Deming, New Mexico. Reporting directly to the management team, you will be responsible for leading a team of cultivation specialists, ensuring the successful growth and harvest of cannabis crops, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership:• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of cultivation specialists.• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure productivity and adherence to quality standards.• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment focused on continuous improvement and employee development.2. Crop Management:• Oversee all aspects of crop cultivation, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting.• Develop and implement effective irrigation strategies to optimize plant health and yield.• Monitor environmental conditions and adjust cultivation practices as needed to maximize crop performance.3. Lighting and Environmental Control:• Set and maintain lighting schedules to support plant growth and flowering cycles.• Monitor and regulate environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels to create optimal growing conditions.4. Integrated Pest Management (IPM):• Develop and implement an IPM program to prevent and manage pest and disease issues.• Monitor crops for signs of pests or diseases and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.• Coordinate with the management team to evaluate and implement new pest management strategies and technologies.5. Cloning and Mother Room Management:• Establish and maintain a cloning and mother room for the production of healthy and genetically consistent cannabis plants.• Develop and execute scheduling plans to ensure a steady supply of clones and mothers for cultivation.6. Scheduling and SOP Implementation:• Work closely with management to develop cultivation schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize efficiency and quality.• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.• Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred.• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cannabis cultivation, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.• Strong knowledge of cannabis cultivation techniques, including genetics, propagation, nutrient management, and pest control.• Experience managing greenhouse cultivation operations preferred.• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
