What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fei Groom position at Dressage Unlimited?
FEI Dressage Rider, Nikki Clarke seeks an experienced groom to travel with her competition horses throughout the year during training and shows. Ideally, we are looking for someone who wishes to be with the horses throughout the entire year, but are also open to temporary or short term. About us: Nikki is a very hands-on rider looking for a groom to tag-team the day-to-day with her and care for the competition string. The position requires daily equine care included but not limited to: grooming, feeding, turn outs, bathing, tacking up, bandaging, blanketing, stall cleaning and overall management of 5 dressage competition horses. Looking for a motivated/ caring individual with attention to detail and a focus on the overall horses well being. A proactive approach to horse management and experience with international level competition grooming is preferred. Open to grooms who have worked at the FEI level in showjumping, dressage, or other disciplines. Team player work mentality and positive attitude are a must. The ideal candidate will be excited to travel with the horses, hold a valid passport, and be confident giving medications, lunging and driving a truck and trailer. Oppurtunities to ride are available but not required. Position is based at a gorgeous private dressage barn located in Montana (next to the filming of Yellowstone!) during the summer, Arizona in the fall and Wellington, FL in the winter. All barns are immaculately kept by a team of employees. Housing and car will be provided. This is a payroll position with the overall package based on experience and contract term. Open to sponsoring/VISA's for an international groom if the right fit.
