Description
We are looking for self-motivated, detail-oriented, experienced and entry level welders for team members at our newly acquired machine and fabrication operation, Custom Fab & Weld. Our strategy is three-fold: 1) Place people in positions they enjoy coming to every day; 2) Create highly differentiated, high-quality products for our customers; and 3) Generate far-above average returns on our investments (which by design is the third leg of our strategy because it is the byproduct of doing the first two legs correctly).
Welder Responsibilities:
- Team Members perform all welding and related tasks involved in our production process
- Set-up and operation of grinders, fork-lift, and other machines
- Various other related duties may be assigned
- Team Members must follow standard instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
- Read and understand Blueprints
- Load and unload parts
- Change weld tips, nozzles, and fixtures
- Perform product quality checks in accordance with work instructions
- Package parts per specifications
- Use small hand-held tools to make minor adjustments to parts
- Read and understand measurement devices
- Assemble loose parts in jig fixture
- Remove weld spatter
Requirements
Welder Requirements:
- First shift 6a -2p
- Proficiency in Mig and Tig welding is required with a good work history.
- Willing to learn and help the company expand its welding capabilities.
- Wear appropriate PPE
- Weld per print specifications
- Handle/lift/push/pull up to fifty (50) lbs. (wire spools /parts) on a repetitive basis
- Some offsite work.
