Droisys is seeking NoSql DBA job offering onsite work for a long-term job opportunity in Saint Louis, MO area.
Job Title: NoSql DBA
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: Long Term Contract
Experience Level: 10 Years
Provide 2nd level NoSQL support for a diverse SaaS platform including MongoDB, MongoDB Atlas, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, HBase, Couchbase, and Cassandra
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production to maximize availability and protect data integrity under guidance of Product Engineering (development) and L3 DBAs
Participate in patching and upgrades during scheduled maintenance
Work cooperatively with 1st and 3rd level support teams
Create and maintain runbooks for typical DB tasks,when possible, assign and oversee tasks for L1 DBAs and Saas Ops staff to perform
Provide extended availability for emergency issue that may arise out of business hours, respond to pages and calls that may be automated when critical systems require support
Participate in an on-call schedule with other team members to provide availability during known days/hours
Work with software engineering (development and support) teams to diagnose outages or other issues and resolve quickly
Learn to use existing or future monitoring tools to provide Operations and Engineering the ability to monitor platform health and performance
Spread knowledge across team members. Identify knowledge gaps, create documentation, cross-train, learn and share new ideas.
