Business Development Chef - Food Service Channel

Reporting to a Sales Director you will provide culinary expertise and leadership to use the capabilities of Givaudan to meet sales goals and customer needs while identifying appropriate customer projects, developing new business and driving innovation. You will be a partner with Flavor Creation & Application (FC&A), Sales, and Marketing.

Ideally, you have top 50 QSR contacts, Flavor, Ingredient and/or Foodservice Manufacturing experience in product development and customization with proven success in top 100 restaurant chains.

• Collaborate and Influence: Partner with business collaborators to identify innovative concepts to increase business. Be the culinary reference for product development and marketing teams. Demonstrate ability to talk with technical groups to communicate customer expectations to FC&A teams for project completion with prototype development. Develop/network to build and nurture Foodservice chef-to-chef relationships.

• Impact and Drive Strategy: Demonstrate knowledge of food trends as they emerge. Maintain an understanding of new and innovative ingredients. Contribute to strategies and our goals by generating and applying culinary knowledge. Support customers in product development and apply culinary trends and techniques. Develop thoughtful understanding of customer potential through analysis of brand strategies and competitor analysis. Ensure Givaudan is well positioned to participate in targeted briefs and on core lists. Lead negotiation of pricing agreements. Achieve budgeted sales and gross profit results within sales territory.

• Culinary Technical Lead: Develop and standardize culinary gold standards during for customer briefs. Work with customer chefs for projects where culinary inspiration is needed for new product / menu development across all segments (Sweet Goods, Beverage, Savory, Snacks). Secure project briefs from customers. Lead customer visits and product development and product presentations either on Givaudan premise or at the customer. Be the Food Service channel expert between customer request to marketing, sales, flavor creation for culinary. Provide Culinary training to Sales team.

You?

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or a Culinary Degree from an accredited University
• 10 years of work experience in the flavor, food ingredient, food manufacturing, retail,or food service industries
• Customer Relationship experience in Food and Beverage
• Experience scaling from benchtop to commercialization.Culinary aptitude, along with knowledge of different cuisines and Culinary trends.
