JOB SUMMARY:
The Carpet Cleaner must be able to work in compliance while cleaning passenger rail cars as required per train schedules. They must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleans passenger cars, restrooms and replenishes bathroom supplies.
- General labor duties as assigned on equipment and grounds.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
- Follows Drummac guidelines for conduct.
- Keeps area around dumpsters clean and secure.
- Notifies supervisor of any faulty equipment.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
- Wears and used required protective equipment while working.
- Takes responsibility for own safety while on job.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The employee is regularly required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee frequently is required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Lifting 35-50lbs in weight Pushing/pulling 35-75lbs
- The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and various hours to accommodate the arrival and departure of the trains
- Must be willing to work odd hours and/or split shifts to include days, nights and/or weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience in janitorial services is preferred.
- Works with integrity and ethically.
- Knowledge and understanding of Drummac policies and Handbook
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
- Responds to requests for service and assistance;
- Maintains confidentiality;
- Must be able to work well under pressure and tight deadlines and handle conflict resolution
- Must be able to work from written assignment sheet and sign-off work completed on printed forms.
- Must exhibit ability to read and interpret operational manuals
