Drupal Web Content Manager
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Research, write, edit and modify content for online publication and distribution
Select and prepare photos, graphics, and infographics for online publication
Perform quality assurance, critical reviews, and proofing of web content
Prepare, edit, and publish video content
Support development of new online publishing and communication materials
Support maintenance of Drupal’s information architecture
Perform Drupal content and site administration tasks (running broken link reports and replacing dead links, running 508 reports and fixing 508 compliance issues)
Create and update analytics and metric reports with analysis
Provide suggestions on content creation, location and strategy
Coordinate homepage featured content updates (at least weekly)
Organize content inventory and redirect (as needed)
Review web traffic reports and site visitor survey to improve usability
Assist with content syndication, organization of related content on other sites
Provide customer service and maintain positive customer relations.
Support and track the development of web standards
Requirements
Experience Required:
• Photo editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop or other similar tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word)
• Strong experience with Drupal
• Expertise with web markup (HTML5)
• 2 – 5 years as Web Content Manager
• 2 years experience with Drupal.
• Experience with 508 compliance and web accessibility
• Experience writing for the web
• Familiarity with Federal Plain Language Guidelines
• Knowledge of web best practices
• Ability to keep abreast of technology and editorial approach changes
• Ability to handle multiple projects and react quickly to shifting needs and priorities
