Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated EHS Manager to join our team. The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and to promote a safe and healthy work environment. This role requires a proactive leader with strong analytical skills and a passion for fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
- Monitor changes in legislation and adjust policies and procedures as necessary.
Program Development and Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to EHS policies and regulatory requirements.
Training and Awareness:
- Design and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and management.
- Promote awareness and understanding of EHS issues and foster a culture of safety within the organization.
Incident Management:
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.
Risk Assessment and Management:
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential EHS issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and enhance workplace safety.
Emergency Response:
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and preparedness activities.
Environmental Management:
- Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management, recycling programs, and pollution control.
- Monitor and manage environmental impact assessments and regulatory reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams, external regulators, and community stakeholders to address EHS concerns.
- Prepare and present EHS reports and updates to senior management and other relevant parties.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS processes and performance.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in EHS management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and industry standards.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective EHS programs and initiatives.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to analyze complex situations, identify problems, and propose practical solutions.
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
