Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operation of our manufacturing facility in Dallas, Texas. The successful candidate will ensure our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained, supporting our mission to produce high-quality medical devices. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the manufacturing facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
- Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and environmental standards.
- Manage facility budgets, including forecasting, expense tracking, and cost control measures.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team to support production needs and address any facility-related issues promptly.
- Supervise and manage the performance of the facilities maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and reliability of facility equipment.
- Oversee contractors and vendors for facility repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure proper security measures are in place to protect the facility and its assets.
- Manage space planning and allocation to optimize the use of facility resources.
- Support sustainability initiatives and promote energy-efficient practices within the facility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven experience managing a team of maintenance professionals.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical device manufacturing regulations is a plus.
- Certification in Facilities Management (CFM) or similar credential is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and navigate around the facility for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations and work outside regular business hours if necessary.
