Vice President of Global Supply Chain

DSJ Global has partnered with an industrial machinery manufacturing organization within the Tampa Bay area, to locate a VP of Supply Chain. With this opportunity, you'll step into a dynamic role where you'll oversee and manage the complete Supply Chain operations, from planning and purchasing to materials management and inbound logistics. You'll be at the helm of creating and implementing innovative policies, procedures, and objectives that align with corporate vision. This role also gives you the chance to spearhead new product development and recommend game-changing improvements in supply chain and product development processes, driving growth into new market segments and verticals. Lead the charge in supplier sourcing and development while building strong interdepartmental relationships. You'll also manage and monitor funds for all commodities, ensuring we stay on track financially.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support the corporate objectives.
• Foster relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure the reliability and quality of sourced materials.
• Implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supply chain performance.
• Collaborate with other departments such as Production, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Utilize data and technology to drive efficiency and innovation within the supply chain.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management within the industrial manufacturing sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, production planning, logistics, and inventory management.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives that drive business success.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
