Summary
The SIGINT Instructor's role involves operating under the guidance of the lead instructor to effectively deliver instructional content (ground and airborne), oversee examinations, and create an engaging and participatory learning environment. The primary responsibility of the SIGINT instructor is to teach analysis concepts, offering insight and technical guidance on complex analytical problems, particularly those related to sophisticated signals and EW systems. Additionally, the SIGINT Instructor plays a key role in developing, maintaining, validating, and coordinating both current and future lesson plans. This includes creating practical exercises and orchestrating training scenarios while flying onboard aircraft, providing feedback, and suggesting improvements as needed. Collaboration with the lead instructor and the course development team is crucial to ensuring that course materials align with the training support plan.
Essential Functions
- Exhibit a robust proficiency in active and/or passive Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), specifically COMINT, focused on collection and prosecution techniques, demonstrating a solid foundation in these essential capabilities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of radar functions, pulse-level details, and overall system familiarity.
- Perform formal instruction/classroom teaching experience.
- Conduct thorough statistical analysis on extensive sets of intelligence products (e.g., SIGINT, FISINT, ELINT, or PROFORMA) for quality assurance and design enhanced collection/processing methods within an instructional setting
- Exhibit expertise in using analytical tools and software.
- Prepare the classroom meticulously and adhere to the class instructor's schedule for delivering lessons.
- Establish and maintain classroom control to cultivate an environment conducive to effective learning.
- Conduct lectures, demonstrate practical applications, assign classwork, and oversee exam proctoring in alignment with approved lesson plans.
- Monitor and document student comprehension and progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional style or providing additional instruction as needed to ensure student understanding.
- Manage and monitor high-value equipment, promptly identifying malfunctions and reporting equipment status to the Field Service Representative (FSR).
- Provide constructive feedback on the course and contribute to curriculum updates, sharing insights with the Lead Instructor and Course Developer.
- Prepare and submit new course content, including additional material, updates or fixes to existing material, development of exercises, creation of quiz or exam questions, construction of flight scenarios, or computer-based training modules.
- Foster innovative student learning experiences by actively seeking out new technologies, aligning with customer mission requirements, and exploring educational tools that enhance the learning process.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor in accordance with organizational requirements.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. However, infrequent evening and weekend shifts may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required to support customer training requests. Travel includes overnight stays outside of normal working locations.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate's Degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Intelligence Studies) which may be substituted with equivalent practical experience.
- 6 or more years of SIGINT collection and analysis experience, preferably in COMINT and/or Technical ELINT.
- Working knowledge of the SIGINT Enterprise.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Instructor Certification (ADET, NCS, BIC, etc.).
- Instructional Systems Design Certification.
- Understanding of EW, SIGINT, HUMINT, and Cyber disciplines.
- Current or Previous Mode 1/2/3/5/6 Certification.
- Experience with Software Defined Radios or RF Spectrum software.
- Graduate of Intermediate or Advanced Signals Analysis Course (451/452).
Other Hiring Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Must hold or a DOD Top Secret SCI level clearance.
- Must be able to obtain a passport.
- Must pass a DOT/FAA regulated drug screening.
- Must be able to obtain an FAA Class III Flight Physical.
