Being a member of the Clearing & Securities Delivery Alliance, the Asset Services Tribe Leader must develop the right execution strategies and tactics to deliver desired business outcomes for Asset Services. This executive role has a high degree of autonomy and accountability to achieve the team objectives and has a deep knowledge of the business as well as the mission and operational aspects of the tribe. This leader requires well-honed leadership skills who can influence internal collaborators to successfully develop and deliver products and services to our clients. The tribe lead will report to the head of the CSS Delivery Alliance with accountability to the Asset Services General Manager.
An ideal candidate must be a skilled influencer and navigator in the organization with prior experience in translating strategic priorities into execution. To accomplish that, it is imperative for the candidate to demonstrate excellent collaborator management skills, ability to interface throughout diverse areas of a large enterprise, and challenge assumptions.
This position has a high degree of exposure to DTCC's Management Committee and frequent interaction with senior leaders from virtually every department of the firm. In addition, this role has direct line-management responsibility for the Product Owners in the tribe.
Your Primary Responsibilities:- Lead the formulation and refinement of the team strategy and mission as well as objectives and key results in partnership with the tribe leadership
- Provide effective leadership to the delivery squads that include resources from product, application, development, and testing; includes significant culture and talent development, management of performance across geographically dispersed teams, support for diversity & inclusion, and building bench strength
- Drive consistent best practices in alignment with DTCC’s Our Ways of Working (OWOW) and maintain accountability for driving continuous improvement, including leveraging of OWOW products
- Synchronize the tribe vision with Product Owners and their associated product backlog
- Collaborate with product management to craft and maintain the delivery roadmap and consult with the technology partner on the product architecture and to define tribe-level priorities for the squads to deliver on tribe and squad objectives and key results
- Provide business context to the team to enhance their efficiency
- Serve as a mentor to team members on functional area of expertise
- Act as an experienced consultant for complex topic, when needed
- Partner with product management to deliver product initiatives that align with best practice standards in consistent delivery, continuous improvement, and high-quality solutions for our clients
- Instill a data-driven mentality within the group, including performance, quality, operational health, and value management to ensure the long-term success of the business
- Maintain accountability for ensuring initiatives are completed on time and budget to achieve business case outcomes
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing dependencies with other Tribe Leads and key partners and remove roadblocks for the squads
- Foster a risk management culture through implementation and demonstration of processes and procedures which identify and mitigate risk
- Drive innovation and change: champion initiatives that evolve the business’ offerings, approaches and infrastructure in ways that address or capitalize on shifts in the regulatory, competitive, and economic landscapes]
- Build capabilities of squad members to ensure squads are self-sufficient, crafting an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the tribe, and empower and mentor team members to deliver the group’s mission
- Support the ongoing development of Chapter members through frequent individual feedback and coaching dialogues, e.g., Ongoing development conversations, synthesizes feedback, discusses professional development opportunities
- Conduct performance appraisals through the collection of feedback and Quarterly Performance Check-ins and develops formal annual performance review report

Talents Needed for Success:- Minimum of 15 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Deep experience in financial technology vendor or a large financial institution with post-trade lifecycle expertise in Asset Services General Manager
- Deep understanding of industry trends and client needs and an ability to create a value proposition for the client
- Familiar with modern technology solutions, such as micro-services architecture, continuous integration/delivery, cloud, and containers
- Experience leading cross-functional product development teams operating under scaled agile frameworks
