About This Opportunity
The Junior Data Center Operations Engineer is responsible for assisting with Data Center management activities to ensure a continual state of production readiness. This role requires participation in planning, implementing, and execution of Data Center management activities according to company-defined policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with Datacenter Management Activities such as Equipment Installation, Troubleshooting, and Change coordination.
- Assist with resolution of problem and incident tickets.
- Work with asset management teams to ensure all devices are updated in the CMDB correctly and timely
- Work with and support others in Data Center Team to continuously improve internal processes
- Ensure that all Data Center Engineering procedures are kept up to date to maintain a continual state of readiness
- Contribute to ongoing and future Data Center related projects and initiatives
- Support team members on any tasks as needed.
Sound Like You?
- Entry Level role
- Proficient with Microsoft Software Product suites (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication / presentation skills
- Knowledgeable in ITIL Change Management and Data Center Tools (DCIM)
- Knowledgeable about copper and fiber cable testing
- Service Now experience preferred
