Location: Detroit, MI
This individual will be responsible for providing analytical and data management support. Work is mainly self-directed under general supervision, with work results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Monitor the transmission development process for Eastern electrical regions and provide updates on system upgrades and transmission related topics and issues
- Collect and report Transmission and Generation outages on daily basis
- Monitor and report changes to Generation retirement and new build schedules
- Assist in the maintenance and development of electricity load and price forecasts across various energy markets
- Assist in the maintenance and development of advanced market simulation tools
- Provide strategy recommendations to traders based on the analysis of power market drivers
- Develop and maintain databases for use by the power trading and power FRS groups
- Coordinate with different groups to make sure access to reports and data feeds is granted to all involved groups
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field, with at least one year of professional work experience
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Basic programming skills (Excel VBA, SQL, R or Python)
- Strong Analytical skills
